Kantanapoli – Back for the 17th edition

Valletta Dramatic Company is in full swing in its preperations to  present the seventh edition of the popular Kantanapoli concert on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd February 2013 at the Catholic Institute Theatre in Floriana.

Partecipating in this edition are Joseph Aquilina, Maryrose Mallia, Ludwig Galea, Laura Bruno, Joe Cutajar and Angele Cristina.

Also participating is the 24-piece orchestra under the direction of mro Arcibald Mizzi. The leader of the orchestra is Marceline Agius.

The Kantanapoli concert has the artistic direction of George Micallef who will be presenting the concert. The director is Joe Brincat while the scenery is the work of Marco Bartolo.

Amongst others, the songs that will be performed include La Romagnina, Tramurtara Nera, Voglio Amarti Cosi and Papavere e Papavere. 



The seventh edition of Kantanapoli will be held on Saturday 2nd February, 2013 at 7pm while on Sunday 3rd February 2013 the concert will start at 6pm.

Valletta Dramatic Company will be presenting another production, Ma Kienitx Tigiega at the Manoel Theatre on 16 and 17 February, 2013. This is a comedy by Anthony Lesser adapted for the Maltese theatre by Frank Ganado. Details on this production will be released shortly.
