Blood Wedding

A young girl wakes up on the day of her wedding to an eligible and good man- yet, she is still passionately drawn to a past lover who has not only wed another woman since, but is also a member of the Felix family which is embroiled in a bitter feud with the groom family.

Things are not made any easier for her when just when she is about to wed her groom, Leonardo, whom she still loves, declares his own undying passion to her which, try as they might, never abated over time. Lorca's classic tragic tale of passion is dangerous, fast paced and ultimately about the yearnings of the hearts which can never be commanded.

Directed by Simone Spiteri.

L-Eku tas-Sirena

The latest novel by Charles Micallef St John.

What brings the Bajada and Magro families together. Two families with two completely different, opposing and contrasting lifestyles hailing from Xghajra and Zabbar respectively cross paths.

Charles Micallef St John new novel in Maltese, L-Eku tas-Sirena (The Mermaids Echo) narrates the story of two families on the aftermath of World War Two. However the story has deeper roots and the author aptly takes the reader back to the crude past of these two families and the secret that joined them together, leaving a trail of tragedies and difficult situations but ably balanced with humour, which is a natural flair in the author, making this book yet another of the sort that you connot put down once you have started reading it.

Toni Bajada is a simple character, almost disinterested and oblivious to everything and everyone, except for his obsession with the sea fishing. His father, Karmnu, a highly skilled car mechanic was much more of a daredevil a…

After its success with young and older audiences in last November, Du Theatre Group and ZiguZajg Festival, are producing again the performance which portrays the life of Julian, an intelligent but naughty 14 year-old, whose life is a disaster and not cool at all.

Theatre critics too praised this innovative performance. The Times of Malta commented - A big bravo to all the cast for introducing many schoolchildren to theatre that is relevant, enjoyable and empowering. Whilst The Sunday Times of Malta said - It is a breath of fresh air.

Julian life is full of struggles - bad news from school, no luck in joining the Forms most popular gang, and to top it all, his mum and dad separated recently. However, Julian is also obsessed by Justin Artio, a character he created on RPG - fearless, brave and smart - basically he is all Julian wishes he was, but is not. Things get complicated when it seems that his mothe…
