Ohloq Tbissima Marathon final sum collected

Ohloq Tbissima Marathon, the 60 hour live broadcasting marathon in aid of the missionary work carried out by the Missionary Society of St. Paul  (MSSP) both locally and in Peru, Pakistan and the Phiippines,  came to an end at midnight. 
The 60 hours were packed. One could participate in mass and prayer, listen to discussions, enjoy the Kids Corner, Musichiere, competitions and other Games,  Dance with the Stars Festival  and a variety of song and dance with the best of local talent.  One could also watch various exclusive features clearly showing the work and needs in the different missionary areas, and also direct dialogue with the Missionaries via Skype. 

Marthese Brincat thanked all those who helped all the volunteers who work professionally and with dedication.  She also thanked those present in the yard of St. Joseph Home in St. Venera, televiewers and all those who generously gave their contribution.

In his final speech, Fr. Louis Mallia mssp thanked all those who in any way contributed to make this years marathon yet another success.  He explained that though the money collected is very important to help support the MSSP missionary work, this is not the only aim of the marathon, as Ohloq Tbissima also aims to bring people together and be behind so many generous people who genuinely care about others.
Maltese and Gozitans alike have  once again  this year  supported MSSP Missionary work the sum of 166,266 euros was collected.  The marathon came to an end with the Ohloq Tbissima song.


During the Marathon there were various times of transmission on Favourite TV, TVM2, NET TV and  ONE TV.   From time to time there were links with radio stations.  The whole marathon was also streamed live on www.di-ve.com and on the CAM Productions international website  www.camcpi.org
