Siggiewi Grapes Festival

The Siggiewi Local Council is for the second year running organising the Festa Gheneb - Grapes Festival - a unique, family-oriented event aimed at sharing the enjoyment and appreciation of the annual local vendemmia grape harvest from vineyards situated in Siggiewi.

The event is organized in close cooperation with Vitimalta, the largest grape producer organisation in Malta www.vitimalta.org. This year event is also being supported by the Malta Tourism Authority and the Parliamentary Secretariat for Culture and Local Government.

Boasting more than 530,000 square metres of vines, Siggiewi is the locality with the highest number of vineyards. An estimated 400 families from Siggiewi are directly involved in the planting and upkeeping of various types of vines. This year edition will be held on Sunday 25 August from 6pm till late.
