Announcing the First Hard Rock Afterdark

The Hard Rock Afterdark are back! Hard Rock Cafe Malta has teamed up with the people who brought you the successful Freddie For a Day concert last September. 

Patrick Camilleri (The Creepers) and Daryl Ebejer (12th Ode ) partnered for a series  of LIVE CONCERTS that will feature some of the best rock anthems from various era, kicking off with the 90’s Rock Special.

The live performance will feature a mish-mash of local musicians and singers that will take us back in time for a musical journey to the 90’s. Artists featuring on the nights include members from bands like: 12th Ode, Colourblind, Forsaken, Fuse Box, Planet Seed, Purple Haze, Scar, The Creepers and War Trigger. 

Also featuring; Kersten Graham, Lello Enejer and Gianni Zammit and if that's not enough, Noel Mifsud will entertain the crowds with an after-concert DJ mix.

It-Tfajla Tal-Ghonnella - Moveo Dance Company

A contemporary dance performance influenced by Maltese Culture and Traditions where the commonly used Ghonnella will be represented in an abstract manner. Four distinct settings with underlying love stories emerge to portray the Maltese trading of fabrics at the market, a Baroque Ball, the War as well as a Maltese wedding.

The Lord of the Flies

In collaboration with the management of the “Teatru Astra”, the Gozo Creative Theatre Club will perform The Lord of the Flies by the playwright, poet and Nobel literature prize winner Sir William Golding on the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the publication of this novel.

During an unnamed time of war, a plane carrying a group of British schoolboys is shot down over the Pacific. The pilot of the plane is killed, but many of the boys survive the crash and find themselves deserted on an uninhabited island where they struggle to develop their own society. The characters discover fire, craft tools, and form political and social systems in a process that recalls theories of the development of early man. The Lord of the Flies deals with various issues such as, the nature of evil, dehumanization of relationships and the loss of innocence. However the overarching theme is the conflict between the…
