In collaboration with the Gozo Culture and Information Office (Ministry for Gozo), the reputable amateur theatrical group The Gozo Creative Theatre Club will perform the powerful and emotional play Frozen by the British playwright and director Byony Lavery.

Frozen is about the murder of a ten-year-old girl by a child-molesting serial killer and the crime's aftermath. It focuses on Agnetha, a criminal psychologist and her relationship with Ralph, a convicted paedophile and serial killer, and Nancy, whose young daughter was one of Ralph's many victims. The three lives slowly intersect and the characters gradually change and become "unfrozen" as they come to terms with the idea of forgiveness.

Frozen raises issues of great importance for criminal justice. Is the murderer evil or is his crime only the symptom of an illness? The play also explores the act of forgiveness. How can it be possible for a mother to forgive a man who has sexually molested and murdered her young da…

The Invisible Visible

The concept behind this exhibition by the two local artists Sara Pace and Xaxa Calleja is to bring about awareness of the transformative nature of an artist's residency for the artistic career of an artist.

It is a time spent focusing on one's own work, creating, as well as mingling with other artists on an international level thus bridging cultural backgrounds and informing the artist on contemporary work on the international art scene.

The Exhibition will be open to the public, free entrance, at The Fortress Builders Interpretation Centre, everyday during the month of February. The Opening hours are Mondays to Fridays from 9:00 - 17:00.

The opening night is on Friday 19th February at 19:30hrs with a short presentation by Mrs Theresa Vella the exhibition Curator.

Vivaldi's The Four Seasons - Charity Concert

Antonio Vivaldi’s most popular work. Consisting of four violin concertos, each gives a musical expression to a season of the year. Unusually for the time, Vivaldi published the concerti with accompanying poems (possibly written by Vivaldi himself) that elucidated what it was about those seasons that his music was intended to evoke.

A 14-piece string ensemble made up of top musicians residing in Malta will support Carmine Lauri with Michael Laus at the helm from the harpsichord. The Four Seasons will be the peak of the brain awareness and fund raising campaign which is being coordinated by the RIDT in collaboration with the Malta Neuroscience Network, the Malta Chamber of Scientists, the Richmond Foundation and Malta Café Scientifique.

The campaign aims to raise awareness on various brain disorders, promote brain research, raise funds for its sustainability, and to continue to demystify brain disorders and to eradicate any remaining stigma around them.

The concert is supported by APS Bank…
