ABOUT ME:

I was born in 1976 and discovered a passion for doodling and cartooning at an early age. In secondary school I started off a school comic called 'The monthly Bluff' which was banned on the 1st issue, domesticated on the 2nd and dead on the 3rd. At 16 years of age I was invited to start contributing several gags to a newspaper called Il-Gens and subsequently to the more established ones like The Times and In-Nazzjon.

This love for cartooning led me to complete a Diploma in Cartoon Drawing. With this in hand I decided to keep in touch with my artistic side and worked on various illustrations for local publications even though my studies were leading me elsewhere.

In 1997 I just had to launch a pet project which took the shape of a website called manicmalta.com which was then and still is now an art, music & entertainment guide.

As Manicmalta became more established I realised just how badly I was missing some form of artistic expression while living an otherwise serious Unversity and work life in Business & Computing.

Recently in 2006 I decided to work on rekindling my passion for drawing while exploring slightly different forms of expression from cartooning.
