A group of 10 artists consisting of 7 painters; Stephania Borg, Johanna Borg Costanzi, Martin Formosa, Charmaine Zammit, Rene Sacco, David Camilleri and, Benny Brimmer, two sculptors; Charles Bonnici and David Mifsud, and a ceramist; Sue Mifsud, are bringing their work together to form a collective exhibition entitled ‘Arten’ from the 4th June to the 14th June 2008. The venue, with its newly installed state of the art lighting, will be the Malta Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, Palazzo de la Salle, Republic Street,Valletta. With artists of varying backgrounds and ages but all well established in their creative fields, this promises to be a stimulating, thought provoking exhibition and an ideal opportunity for art lovers, enthusiasts and the curious to spend some time totally absorbed in the beautifully executed work being shown.
There will be some 70 works exhibited, most painting mediums and subjects are represented, from acrylic to pastel from landscape to abstract, with freestanding clay and limestone sculptures adding a three dimensional aspect to the collection. The Arten exhibition will show a richness of creativity that can only be present when such a group of artists are brought together. |
