MHUH, a psychological thriller written by Andrew Attard. The plot revolves around a dangerous gang attacking individuals, threatening for serious money. Victims continuously face harmful attacks. Any one not able to pay the debts is brutally killed or buried alive.
The plot also introduces two families sharing a long friendship. Ernest - Joe Vella, who suffers from mental sickness is married to Sonia - Jennifer Attard. They are the parents of a 9 year old daughter Valentina - Valentina Micallef, a bright girl with artistic talents. There is only one problem. Ernest constantly worries that he is not his daughter’s biological father. This thought deeply troubles and confuses him and he is often lost in awful thoughts.
The other family includes Mike - Noel Chircop, an ophtalmologist, his wife Joanne - Diana Bezzina, a humble house wife, and their daughter Claire - Amy Chircop.
Members of both families are individually threatened from the malicious gang, each instructed with harsh actions. What negative impact will these continuous threats leave on the young members of both families.
Ernest, an aircondition technician, is responsible for all the maintenance work for Inguanez Web Service, a large company directed by Gwynette Inguanez - Eileen Micallef, a career woman also trapped in a world of her own. So much so, that given the modern offices of her company, her own office has a very shabby look, lacking light except for the small lamp on her desk.
A prominent feature in the office, is a classic painting of a roman lady which seems to entice Gwynette. Sometimes she just spend hours staring at this painting. What is the connection between the painting and her own past.
Ernest avoids having contact with Gwynette during his duties at the office since they had a romantic past which had a sour ending.
Helen - Mary Rose Mallia,a fortune teller renowned for her super natural powers. Not only can she foresee the future but she can also feel what is happening at present. Joanne visits to Helen are becoming more frequent, although she does not fully trust her.
Karmenu - Carmel Guaci, a sculptor continues to add more mystery to the plot. He could never quite understand why someone would order a statue of herself, requesting that the statue is almost life like. And why was he paid in full before the work was even started.
These are only a few peaks of what one expects to see in the entangled web of this movie, full of surprises which will leave you stunned till the very end. All actions taken are not only referred to, but can all be seen happening by the viewers which will add even more excitement and tension. It is very difficult to draw any conclusions during the course of the story which evolves into such a psychological disorder.
The featured film has an original soundtrack consisting of 11 pieces written by the Maltese composer Philip Vella.
