Photo from Manicmalta Interview (See articles). Manicmalta was launched in 1997 and has been included on 000s of flyers ever since. The aim has always been the same "the free sharing of event information" with two main objectives "To give budding organisers a chance" and "To facilitate the exchange of feedback and ideas"; all this to help organisers fine tune their product to give customers a better service next time round. May our efforts continue to provide added value to the leisure industry for years to come!

And did you know?:

Malta Jazz Festival - Annual:
Every July a popular jazz festival enlivens the 16th-century UNESCO World Heritage Site of Valletta, capital of Malta, for three summer nights. Established in 1990, the festival attracts world-renowned jazz musicians to perform on the Grand Harbour of this beautiful, seaside town.
Past performers have included Al Di Meola, Diana Krall, Chick Corea, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Wayne Shorter, and the festival always presents an eclectic range of musical talent.

The venue for the concerts, Ta'Liesse, is beside the Grand Harbour, below the floodlit bastions of Malta's baroque fortress walls. As it's an open-air venue, tickets can be bought on the day, or booked in advance from the festival website.

Beheading of St John the Baptist - Daily (not Sun):
On the oratory's right wall hangs a smaller Caravaggio painting, St Jerome, which was stolen in 1984 and rescued in a dramatic operation a few months later. In it, an elderly man sits with a pen in his hand.

Feast of the Assumption - Aug 2005 (annual) Victoria, Gozo:
The festa celebrations start on a Wednesday and culminate on the Sunday evening. The Parish Churches are embellished with damask and silverware and the climax of each celebration is the pontifical High Mass celebrated in the mornings (approx 9.15am) and evenings (7pm) on the Sunday of the festa. A religious procession follows with the life-size statue of the patron saint carried shoulder-high through the illuminated and decorated streets of the village.
