Le Corsaire LIVE via satellite from the Bolshoi Theatre

Bolshoi reconstruction of Marius Petipa Le Corsaire will be screening live from Bolshoi Theatre at Eden Cinemas on Sunday, 11th March at 4pm in an exclusive, one night only event.
The ballet itself was originally inspired by a poem from Lord Byron and created in 1856 starring Petipa who then went on to choreograph the famous piece for years to come. Alexia Ratmansky and Yuri Burklava revised the ballet in 2007, resulting in today version featuring three acts and one epilogue.
Vivid scenery, bright costumes and exquisite performers all serve to support the reason why Bolshoi Theatre decided to describe the most recent version as - the most sumptuous of all – with The New York Times stating -The final scene has one scenic masterstroke after another.
This event is suitable for all ages, with tickets selling at 23 euros – a mere fraction of the actual theatre ticket price – and only just 10 euros for under 16s. Ticket costs include complimentary parking at the Eden Leisure Car Park and a 25 per cent discount at InterContinental Malta restaurants – redeemable upon presentation of the opera or ballet ticket.
