STAR-STUDDED CAST ANNOUNCED FOR Il-KBIR GĦADU ĠEJ! The producers behind Balzunetta Productions today announced the leading performers and the rest of the cast of the iconic musical II-Kbir Għadu Ġej, which will premiere at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta on the 9th of August 2019 . The original musical in Maltese is penned by comedian Malcolm Galea and directed by established director Sean Buhagiar, whilst the live band will be in the hands of Mro Dominic Galea. The coveted lead role of Il-Kredu has gone to star singer Kevin Borg . The talented singer rose to fame as the winner of Swedish Idol, where he was the first non-Swedish winner in the show’s history. He is joined by blonde sensation Marilena, Malta’s former child star, who’s now all grown-up. Silhouette – Tops Box Office for October at Eden Cinemas

Starting off with a sold out Premier on the 18th October, Mark Doneo's Silhouette turned out to be the surprise number one movie for the month of October at the Eden Cinemas, topping all other films, both foreign and domestic. The movie, filmed entirely in Malta with local cast and crew, tells the story of a professional car thief trying to make amends with his family. The movie, which exceeded expectations in box office for October, features numerous fast cars, kickboxing and illegal street racing. It also boasts a soundtrack made up entirely of local rock bands featuring Winter Moods’ newest single, ‘Days of My Life’. The feedback and enthusiasm shown by thousands of cinemagoers was definitely satisfying, most particularly for the cast and crew of Silhouette. Director and Producer Mark Doneo expressed his gratitude and stated that though he always knew that his movie would go down well with audiences, he can't help but feel humbled and grateful for the way people

Il-Mixja Passion Play for Charity

Some of Malta top actors re-enact the Passion of Christ in aid of Mount Carmel clients. Some of Malta most established actors will be getting together to form a formidable cast in aid of the projects undertaken by Mount Carmel Hospital on behalf of its clients. Vermiglio Theatre Productions will be taking the Passion of Christ to the fields surrounding the hospital making it an interactive and unique experience for all those who decide to attend. The fields surrounding the hospital will be replacing the streets of Jerusalem on that historical night and the audience will become part of the drama. The audience will be guided through the main stages of the passion of Jesus, leading to the crucifixion. A number of natural spots will serve as backdrops to the scenes and monologues which bring the events to the audience in a realistic and personal manner. Official Depeche Mode Book Release Party

The new book "Depeche Mode - Violator: The Ultimate A & R Guide" will be presented at The Shelter - Tigullio St. Julians. "Violator" is still the best-selling album of the synth pop band Depeche Mode. Richard Richard Rogers, the author of the book and A & R Man (Artist & Repertoire), provides a guide to the album from an A & R point of view. There will be readings from the book, providing background information on the development and the author shall be available for a question and answer session. The foreword by Gary Numan will be presented so to tell something about his point of view on the album "Violator". On request, the author likes to sign the book and talk to the guests.
