What it is

The Eco Festival returns to the Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta for its second 2026 run from 1 to 4 July, a free, family-friendly celebration of sustainability high on the bastions above the Grand Harbour. Run by the Eco Market social enterprise, it is a curated market of handmade, eco-friendly products from local artisans - artisanal jewellery, home decor, natural beauty products and eco-fashion, all plastic-free and organic - with many stalls run by women entrepreneurs. The organiser pitches it as ideal for visitors looking for one-of-a-kind, sustainable Maltese souvenirs you won't find in ordinary shops, alongside eco-activities that inspire greener living.
