What it is

WAH Malta - short for Worried About Henry - is the island's big drum & bass festival, taking over UNO Malta near Attard for three days from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 September 2026. It is the Mediterranean edition of a respected UK drum & bass brand, and it has quickly become the late-summer fixture that brings a large, mostly British crowd over to Malta specifically for the weekend, drawn by the line-up, the open-air setting and the near-guaranteed September sunshine.

The draw is the sheer depth of the bill: more than 100 artists across the three days, covering most corners of the genre from liquid and soul-led drum & bass to heavier, rollers and jump-up sounds. Headline names announced for 2026 include Hybrid Minds, Shy FX, Wilkinson, Camo & Krooked going back to back with Mefjus, and Kings of the Rollers, alongside a long list that takes in the likes of Alix Perez, Dillinja, Critical Soundsystem, Flava D and many more. The result is a festival that works both for hardcore drum & bass heads who want the underground names and for newer fans who recognise the big crossover acts.

UNO Malta is the island's largest open-air club complex, with several rooms and outdoor arenas, which lets the festival run multiple stages at once and keep going late into the night. Across the weekend the programme is rounded out with the extras that have become part of the WAH experience - daytime pool and boat parties on the side, so the festival spills out beyond the main site into the kind of sun-and-bass holiday that the brand has built its name on. It is an 18-plus event, and tickets are sold as three-day festival passes as well as day tickets, through the festival's own site and the usual ticket partners.

For visitors, the appeal is a proper UK-scale drum & bass festival transplanted to a warm island, with the music at night and the beach or the pool by day. The timing in early September catches the tail of the Maltese summer, when the sea is still warm but the peak-season crowds have thinned, and the festival has built its whole offer around that - flights, accommodation and party packages aimed at groups coming over together. Even if you are not travelling specifically for it, it is one of the standout nights of the late-summer calendar for anyone into bass music.

Getting there: UNO Malta is inland near Attard and Ta' Qali, in the centre of the island. It is best reached by taxi or one of the festival shuttle or club buses, as regular public transport tends to stop well before the music does. Many people travelling for the festival base themselves in St Julian's, Sliema or Bugibba and travel in for each night. Check the festival's site for the day-by-day line-up, set times, the pool and boat party add-ons and tickets, as the detailed timetable is confirmed closer to the event.
